October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and to show solidarity to all the brave moms, wives, sisters, daughters and friends out there, we are encouraging you to #FlatlayPink for the month of October!
Don't forget to tag us and use #flatlaypink and #breastcancerawareness in your posts, so that we too may help raise awareness by sharing posts and stories. Whether it's your pink background or pink props, we want to see pink!
"Pink represents awareness of breast cancer, hope for the future, and the charitable goodness of people and businesses who publicly support the breast cancer movement. It is intended to evoke solidarity with women who currently have breast cancer."
Why raise awareness?
Breast cancer is the most prevalent cancer to affect South African women, and early detection is key to preventing loss of life. By raising awareness, tagging your flat lay photos with #breastcancerawareness and #flatlaypink, you will be helping by raising awareness!
If it's just one woman who does a self-exam after seeing your flat lay, or one woman who feels supported through her own survivor journey, then your work, dear friends, has made an impactful difference on someone else's life.
There are many early detection methods, and self-exam is one of the quickest and easiest. Breastcancer.org believes that self-exam along with other screening methods such as mammograms and sonars, helps raise the odds of early detection. Please click here for instructions on how to do a self-exam.
Don't forget to tag us and use #flatlaypink and #breastcancerawareness in your posts, so that we too may help raise awareness by sharing posts and stories.
